Job Description

We seek two highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and at least 5 years of professional experience as a financial specialist. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle complex financial tasks, provide supervisory support, and step into a leadership role when necessary.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily financial tasks, including data entry into financial systems and reconciling accounts.

  • Serve as tier 2 support for escalated calls and complex financial inquiries from clients or stakeholders.

  • Review and verify the work of Financial Specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Conduct financial reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Complete special projects as assigned, which may include financial analysis, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Act as the interim Project Manager in the absence of the primary manager, ensuring continuity of operations and leadership.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior financial staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Financial Specialist or in a similar role.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience is highly desired.

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, data entry, and reconciliation processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex financial inquiries.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial software.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a federal or government contracting environment.

  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
