Job Description:
The DoD seeks an innovative and detail-oriented Digital Strategy & Solutions Support Specialist to enhance the organization’s digital presence, communications, and customer engagement strategies. This role involves managing website content, supporting social media initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence in digital communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital tools, social media management, and user-centric web design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in incorporating a digital presence into DoD Travel Management's overall business, communications, and customer engagement strategies.
- Support the management, maintenance, and design of the DoD website using the U.S. Web Design System to ensure accessibility, usability, and adherence to federal standards.
- Collaborate with government personnel to create and implement a dynamic social media strategy that promotes DoD strategic initiatives and fosters stakeholder engagement.
- Assist in the development and execution of SOPs for DoD social media operations.
- Ensure the publication of approved communications that maintain a unified voice, timeliness, and accuracy while adhering to security and privacy requirements.
- Deliver digital communications aligned with DoD's mission to strengthen stakeholder engagement and enhance the organization’s reputation and integrity.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 24 semester hours in business-related coursework from an accredited college or university.
- Expertise in digital strategy development and implementation.
- Proficiency in website management, particularly using the U.S. Web Design System or similar frameworks.
- Experience in developing and managing social media campaigns to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong writing and editing skills focusing on clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Knowledge of digital communication best practices, including security and privacy considerations.
